Prohibitive Service Fee
FlashFood's new minimum service fee is detrimental to their goal to keep food out of landfills. Previously I bought food using the service at least once a week, often every other day. Now, the new service fee is so cost prohibitive that I'm only rarely using the service, once every other week at most. Soon I'll stop checking the app all together. I've noticed the same reaction with other consumers as well - items on FlashFood that previously would have been snapped up within an hour are now sitting untouched until they expire, and getting tossed in the garbage. Many of us agree, the new cost is not worth the savings.

I absolutely agree with the above statement. I used to purchase items several times a week. Now with the service fee, I am less likely to make a purchase. It is very unfortunate since flashfoods is a genius concept that not only prevented food waste, but also made groceries more affordable. Very regrettable.

It's not a totally unreasonable fee if I were buying something for $20 or something. But I often pick up a bag of salad for $0.99. That's a 100% markup! Perhaps there's a way we can get around it if they structure the fee differently.

It's ridiculous and I will now use more and more Too Good Fo Go and leave Flashfood.
