How come Kroger Spartan Square Salem va markups on reduced prices on their deli products.

  Given food prices have become contributing to food security issues I see Superstore has increased their flashfood prices by 5%.

  The price of meat used to be 50% or more off. This morning I noticed that the discount is 45% off. 
  
  This increase is concerning. Why has meat past the best before date costing consumers another 5%?
